Weekly Roundup: Tour of California Launches

I love cycling. Do I need to say more? I should, since there’s stuff I should be writing.

The Tour of California officially kicked off with the women’s race in Lake Tahoe. Great to see the expanded racing, but let’s get this on TV!

For Stage 2, still big crowds!

Talansky, Cavendish, Gesink, Sagan, Craddock and Marcotte. You’ll be hearing their names a lot.

A number of riders headed down to Malibu City Hall to protest the harassment of cyclists along PCH. This should be a cycling mecca, but even with the new bike lanes, it’s still a bit harrowing out there

Thanks to Seth Davidson from Cycling in the South Bay to being a leader in the cycling community.

If you haven’t seen the new Malibu Bike path, then I’m sure you’ll have some opinions after this.

In recent news, it appears that Rec and Parks have been removing trees from Griffith Park because of infestation concerns. Funny how it’s only the trees blocking the view of the Hollywood Sign.

Now, you may have to step a foot to the right to see the sign better

The word “working” should be replaced with “worked”

There is beauty to ride without the fear of cars.
