It’s one thing having to brave poor driving as a Los Angeles cyclist, but another when someone lobs a poor excuse at you. While my Friday ride was heading on our typical ride, a van decides to back right into our lane.

With his windows rolled down, we got a series of excuses, claiming he can’t see us and doesn’t have mirrors(which he does). What’s worse is after he clearly knows about our presence(verified by his yelling), he continues to back into us. Right of way be damned.

Would a car be treated differently?

Needless to say, I’ll be more careful about which plumbing company I’ll be recommending in the near future.
