Tour de Laemmle Rolls this Sunday

Back again for it’s third year, the Tour de Laemmle runs again as one of the funnest challenges you’ll find.

Covering a total of 131 miles, the TDL goes by all eight Laemmle Theaters including a stop at their upcoming project in Glendale as well.

As difficult as this ride sounds, the larger question looming over this event is what happens in the future when the Laemmle Theater in Newhall comes online? Does this become a stage race? We’ll have to wait and see.

What you should already know is that Greg and his wife Tish are cornerstones of the cycling community and putting this ride together is just one of the many things they do to make Los Angeles bike friendly.

While Greg is a great guy to talk to, don’t expect this to be the most chatty ride as you’ll need to ride at above conversational pace to avoid being dropped.

If you’re not up for the complete challenge, you can always ride just a portion of the route. The more the merrier.

Tish is always smiles for miles.

There will be refreshments and snacks along the way, and if you finish, you’ll come home with your own pair of Tour de Laemmle cycling socks commemorating your accomplishment.

The ride starts at the Laemmle Santa Monica this Sunday at 7am, but you’ll need to register in order to join. Don’t worry about registration fees either. The ride is FREE, just remember to sign up.

Come out, ride, enjoy and relax after with dinner and a movie!
