It’s August and it’s getting hot.
Okay, it’s already hot, just even hotter. Lord save us. Still, we cycle. Everyone knows about caring water bottles and sun block so what’s the big deal?
Oh yeah. My tire didn’t take too kindly to it. Makes me think of the “Hello” scene in Alien.
There was a lot of events going on this past weekend that went far more smoothly. We should focus on them.

The Brentwood Grand Prix took place yesterday as one of LA’s premiere racing events of the year. It only seems to get bigger with every incarnation and the crowds got treated to some great action. You can find results and more photos on their facebook page.
Even though this is a still, you know they are going fast.

Yes, kids enjoy the Brentwood GP too! LA’s Fourth Annual Clitoral Mass, organized by the Ovarian Pyscos, rolled out Saturday to bring harmony to women’s cycling. I would have dispatched Mrs. CiclaValley, but her bike was stolen the night before. Dems the brakes.

The ride started out off of Olvera Street with about 300 cyclists taking place.
Hey! Nobody told me there would be dancing!
…and the fun went into the night!
Yesterday was also the first Sunday of the month, meaning it’s time for LACBC’s Sunday Funday Ride!
LACBC Board President Steve Boyd led the festivities
The ride went out of Lakewood and headed down the San Gabriel River Path Lastly, I missed out on team training camp this weekend. Looks like it could have been fun:
