Yes, we’ve known that CicLAvia is coming for awhile, but it sure feels good when there’s boots in the ground to know things are coming. Of course, the team has been working hard scouring the valley making preparations, but tonight is a chance for the community to go one on one with the staff and learn more about this great event.

A few things that you’ll learn:

• Info about the route. Sure the map has been posted, but even I noticed earlier this week that it got pushed out even further north into Pacoima.
• Volunteer opportunities. CicLAvia wouldn’t be possible without a large number of people willing to donate their time. The best part is you can help for a few hours and still have plenty of time to take in the event!
• Is it a family event? Of course it is! Learn how you can enjoy it more. I always say bring a beatbox.
• Where does it start? A lot of people always ask this if they’ve never been.

There’s obviously a lot to cover, but if you have any burning questions or simply want to learn more, come to the meeting tonight at Pacoima City Hall from 6:30 – 7:30. If you can’t make it, there will be another one in Van Nuys on February 24th.
