Every year, some of the best cyclocross racers come to southern California to race making it a glorious weekend for all cyclists.
If you’re an amateur(my hand is raised), you can take part in the earlier races on the same course the pros will take to later. Okay, maybe not exactly the same since you’ll be tearing it up…
Don’t have a cyclocross bike? El Dorado Park will also be hosting the From Palms to Pines ride along the San Gabriel River with distances of 77 or 25 miles, both to conclude before the pros take the course.
Lastly, the best part of cyclocross is the heckling. If there’s something remotely someone can make fun of, they’ll call it out. Being a spectator at these races is like the party atmosphere when fans line the big climbs in the Tour de France, except the riders keep doing laps!
